Our programs facilitate access to trusted scholarship and mentorship, both in-person and via online media. Each of our programs is designed to provide sound guidance on the topics of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan, and to meet individuals wherever they are along their own path, with a recognition that we are all eternal students.

Retreats

We organize in-person retreats in various locations around the world, most often in partnership with a local organization. Our retreats are designed to tap into the unique gifts and riches of the local culture, allowing visitors to benefit and derive lessons that last far beyond the experience itself.

Online Courses

Oasis Initiative online courses provide convenient access to audio and video instruction from authorized and experienced teachers. While recorded classes can never replace the ancient & time-honored tradition of in-person instruction and mentorship, remote learning serves a vital function in our world today, and we are committed to using online tools in creative ways to help each student in his or her journey.

The Zawiyah

The Zawiyah is a series of retreats committed to the growth of a healthy, centered and spiritually grounded community, and to exploring some of the most pressing issues of our time. Each Zawiyah retreat provides an intimate holistic experience that energizes the body, uplifts the soul and nourishes the mind. Past retreats have been held in the mountains of Granada, Spain, the Midwest in North America, and on the Nile River of Egypt.

The retreat explored Islamic metaphysics, ethics and law as they pertain to the stewardship of all living beings, the earth and the environment.
